unable to update firmware

    Yes I think so; it certainly wouldn't load it. On the earlier SD boxes attempting to load an incorrect version would produce an E-ID error.

    Andy to answer your question, You will only need this sys id file if you are a beta tester for Humax. Beta testers are supplied with test versions of code that alters the Sys ID 8OBC.7EOO of their Humax so it looks like a different model, However if you then try to put standard code onto this Humax, the code sees this Humax as the wrong model and refuses to load. The sys id file sets the ID back to ID 8OBC.7EOO which allows standard code to be loaded again
