    Hi
Is it possible to record transmissions from TV providers, to a video recorder connected to the Humax 1000S. In other words can I connect my Humax to a video recorder and record direct from out side transmissions like ITV,BBC etc.

If you connect a VCR or DVD recorder to the 1000s' scart socket you will only be able to record the channel being watched or the recording that is playing back.

Basically, you can only record whatever you would see on your TV screen.

Not exactly sure what you want to do. But if you connect a DVD recorder to the HDR-1000s scart socket then you can record anything it's outputting to the TV by HDMI (recordings or live TV). Unless you particulary want to keep recordings for posterity not sure why you wan't to do this as the box will record up to 2 programmes at the same time anyway to it's built in hard disc.
