Hi, I am new here and looking to buy the HB1000S.
Can anyone please let me know if I can connect to my wifi home network for the catch up tv using ANY wifi dongle plugged into the usb port on the back of the unit?

    Thanks
    David

    Welcome to our Forum

    1. Duplicate post removed, and thread moved to correct area.

    2. The recommended wifi dongle is obviously the humax one.

The chipset needed is Ralink RT3070

Example - Link to Amazon - not a recommendation as I do not have one.

Thanks for the reply and sorry about the duplicate post, pc error!

I know the obvious choice would be their one, but I wondered if any would work? I have a spare one I used on my pc to connect it to the wifi and would like to use this one if possible....

    Thanks
    David

    No harm in trying it.

If it does not have the correct chipset it just won't work.

Do you know the make/model number of the one you have?

Caveat: Only a quick Google but I do not think that has the correct chipset.
