I accidentally allowed Windows to initialise my Humax 9300 disk. Is there any way to recover my disk / my files now, or is my only option to reformat and lose everything?

I accidentally allowed Windows to initialise my Humax 9300 disk. Is there any way to recover my disk / my files now, or is my only option to reformat and lose everything? It is fixable; I need to remember the method. I will post again in the morning.
Edit: decided to look up the solution and found it in an old email. You need humaxcheck which can be downloaded from https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/humaxrw
Assuming you know the drive number for the Humax drive (I will call it x where x is likely to be in the range 1..6) then the command to fix the Humax partition table is:
humaxcheck x: -p -w
