I also think that the YouTube app has been updated on the HDR-FOX. As before though, this version only seems to play videos that are available as naked mp4 files, without adverts. Hence Vevo and Warner music videos don't play. My HDR-FOX is connected to a Samsung smart TV (2013) with a Now TV box connected too. All three have different YouTube apps, the HDR-FOX one is most limited with respect to functionality and video compatibility. Even so it is good that they have continued to update it.

The YouTube app will probably be the same codebase for a few Humax boxes, so they will have a bigger reason to keep it going...
YouTube is a big name to use on their portals as it is recognized by everyone.
I have stopped using the Humax portal completely and switched to a Now TV box too - better performance, better apps.
In my opinion, Humax should just build in Roku support in their future boxes rather than try and reinvent the wheel.
