    HI

    I have Humax 9150T (v-4.37)?

My remote control has not been working nor the main unit, since lunch time today. I have tried everything I can find online (no luck) and even phoned HUMAX (no 28 in queue!!!) didn't hold.

    HELPPPPPPP!!!

    Welcome to the Forum

Check software version via Menu, System, Status - Software version.

I suspect you will find an older version then the currently released 1.00.26.

Over the Air broadcast starts tomorrow at approx 10am. for the 9150.

See page 2 of this thread post #12 for a pdf explaining the OTA update procedures.

Yes wait until after 10am the 9150 version should then be on air.

It won't find anything now as 9300 version is currently being broadcast.

You know where to find us if you have difficulties tomorrow

Same problem here. My Humax PVR-9300T hasn't been able to change channel either using the remote or on the box all evening. Glad to see I'm not alone then

I have my 9150T switched on 24/7 and have automatic updates enabled, set to kick off every day at 04:00, the unit also does a quick update of some sort or other (no idea what) rather more often than that, seemingly at random, any time of the day (maybe twice per week? We've never kept a note as it only takes a second).

So it came as something of a surprise to find that it's got software version 1.00.14 dated way back when, sometime in the late Cretaceous Period

Well, tomorrow morning after 10:00 it is. With any luck all should be well by the time we get home after work.

Thanks for the reassuring information Barry, I was dreading having to buy a new PVR.

More thanks for Barry et al - great forum. Our 9150T started freezing today. The Mrs' immediate reaction was to try to talk me into getting Sky as it is out of warranty. Me, who is less keen to throw away pennies (especially in Murdoch's direction), thought I would dig a bit deeper.

Have printed the OTA PDF ready for tomorrow. The upgrade schedule is here

    Welcome to the Forum mwsomerton:-)

The unit has to be in standby to auto update.

When you get home from work tomorrow you will have to initiate a manual update unless you change the update time to something after 10 am, and leave the unit in standby whilst you are at work.
