I cant find the setting to tell the Humax 5300c that the sound should go through hdmi to my TV. Am I stupid, or is there no sound through hdmi on the 5300c. Am I missing something? I already tried to reset to factory settings and other obvious solutions.....Please help.

Have you tried a different HDMI input socket on the TV? There is usually one which is designed for connection to a computer which does not carry sound but which uses a separate cable for that if needed.

I kept it in the same socket as my old decoder went, which had sound. Is it possible that the 5300c doesnt output sound through hdmi, or should it work?

A factory reset of my TV apparently did the trick. Thx for the help and suggestions.
