Barry, would it be possible for you to liase with The Towers and suggest a scheme whereby owners of potentially faulty Aura, who are currently registered for the Beta test, can return them direct to Humax (either for replacement or refund irrespective of where they were purchased, as long as full proof of purchase is provided)? Returned items should require details of issues, perhaps a questionnaire could be drawn up.
This way, units can be individually tested against the reported faults.
Restricting this to the Beta team will give the developers the opportunity to improve the Aura in a more hands-on manner by examining persistently faulty units directly.

In which case, we would all like to join the beta testers.

If they are faulty, we all would want a replacement. What makes you so special?

    Wind your neck in.

I don't own an Aura and have no interest in buying one.

Anyone with a faulty unit is entitled to a replacement/repair or refund obviously but the small number of beta testers who will be more rigorously testing and recording any issues will likely be able to provide more detailed information so that individual units can be inspected directly by Humax, instead of just sitting on a retailers returns shelf for months.

Humax already provide excellent support via the usual contact choices:

    Tel: 0344 318 8800 and/or uksupport@humax-digital.co.uk

The operatives may well ask you to carry out some tests to confirm there is a problem, and will talk you through the options should unit need replacing during warranty period.
