Help please from a not very technical newbie.
Equipment Humax PVR9300T with Panasonic TV and DVD.
Last evening from approx 19:00 - 22:00 all BBC channels were lost, with the message "The channel is scrambled or not available" on a black screen initially, but after about 20 secs, an incorrect channel played as below, with the error message still displayed. (The TV itself was not affected.)

    BBC1 played Sky News (82)
    BBC2 played Challenge (46)
    BBC3 played Pick TV (11)
    BBC4 played Dave (12)
    BBC News 24 played E4+1 (29)

We had set X-ray and New Tricks to record on BBC1 but lost them as Sky News was recorded instead.
We were going to try a retune later but then BBC News at Ten reappeared spontaneously, so we left well alone.
We're quite used to the odd Hummy glitch having had a 9200 before this, but have never come across this problem before and I couldn't find it in FAQs.
Any ideas why and if so, how can we stop it happening again?

Try a Manual Search using my instructions here.

I agree with Biggles suggestion to do a manual tune but can I ask what software version the 9300 is running?

Thanks. We don't have any 800 channels and it's currently OK so I haven't done anything yet - we'll see what happens at 19:00 hrs!
    Info requested:
    Software version UPTTF 1.00.26
    Loader version a4.39

I just had the same problem with PVR9300T and Sony analogue TV. All BBC channels shown as scrambled or unavailable, between 9-10 pm, but had returned by 11pm. Also the menu options Edit Channels and Installation were greyed out (so no retune possible) but are now back.
I am in London. BBC channels were OK on my digital TV in the next room.
    I hope this is a one-off.

Were you recording something between 9-10pm? That causes menu items to be unavailable.

    Similar problem again.
All well for past 2 weeks since original posting, then on 22 October (again a Monday) we set 2 consecutive episodes of Startrek to record on Pick TV (Channel 11), at 19:00 & 20:00hrs - we have been recording these successfully every weekday recently.
(We also set New Tricks to record at 21:00hrs on BBC1 - this failed to record at all.)
On attempting to play Startrek, BBC3 had recorded instead, on both episodes. This corresponds with the channels substituted in my original posting.

Programmes set to record later were unaffected.

I don't know if it's relevant but I had also set The Archers to record at 19:00hrs on BBC Radio 4 (Channel 704) that evening.

Very frustrating - any comments would be welcome.
