It does sound like a big functional modification to the platform but you could send your documented suggestions to uksupport@humaxonline.co.uk and see if they pass them on to the development team for further evaluation.

    Thanks I have.

Worth noting that the EE box had 4x tuners to enable this to happen, so if they were allowed to code it onto the box the Aura would be short of a tuner and that might impact recordings.

That surprises me but yeah could be a problem couldn't it. I just figured that this new piece of kit is two years or so ahead.
I sent a request in and will post the reply.

I'm hoping this is the way to reply to Barry?
Thanks Barry, I've found where you mean in the Freeview settings.
I've done it and it does help on recordings and if you start a program live and maybe pause for a while to build up a bit of time to skip the ad breaks.

You would have to pause at least 4 minutes for the average ad break.

The idea is you record the programme (it's not usefull for live TV)

Say you are going to watch ITV-HD all evening.

Set a recording for every programme you want to watch.

About I5 mins after the first one starts find the recording and start viewing it. Skip the ads. By the time you have viewed the first one you should be able to skip the ads on the others.

You can set multiple recordings on different channels if you stick to channels 101 - 105. You will see the recordings stop and start as you watch earlier content.

That's a really good workaround. Thanks Barry.

It helps to watch BBC and rcord the commercial channels then adverts can be by-passed easily. Most hour long ITV programmes are only 45 minutes with ad skipping, some hour long programmes are even shorter on Channel 5.

Even BBC can be clipped. I like quiz shows and the current "Lightning" on BBC 2 is barely 20 minutes if you skipp all the waffle. The Aura is very good at this with the scrolling thumbnais at the bottom of the screen.
