For those that volunteered, you should receive an update today. If not update received try a reboot.

Report any issues in this thread with as much detail as you can give.

Please keep general chat to other Aura threads, or start one of your own.

A bit surprised that the update is a new feature rather than bug fixes, but DLNA is a very welcome function. It seems to be working on my Samsung TV with a HD recording of Bloodlands. DLNA on my Panasonic recorder never worked with my Samsung TV so this justifies getting the Aura. It would help if series recordings were in folders. I will continue testing.

Although DLNA works, what prevents it from being useful is that there are either no dates on the recordings (using the DLNA client on my Panasonic recorder) or all the files are dated 01/01/1970 (on my Samsung TV). Files are in alphabetical order on my Samsung TV and in no discernible order on my Panasonic recorder. Therefore, if trying to play a particular episode from a series then you cannot easily find it. On my Samsung TV when playing a file, a message pops up at the beginning 'This file may not play properly', but this does not happen when playing on the Panasonic recorder.

Some good bugfixes in there which appear to directly address the concerns most widely shared on this forum. Good on Humax for linking their development to the live issues.

    - Pixellation issue
    - Delete recordings with PIN
    - Black screen from some apps

Not sure what the trick play / ffwd / rwnd improvement would be, nor what bug the 1080i issue is addressing. Some detail on the "before" and "after" on these ites would be helpful so that users can test / see whehter it's effective or not.

Looking forward to playing with this tonight.

For those of us not participating is there a rough testing time period (e.g. a month) for a new firmware before it’s released into the wild? Or is it a “just depends”? Just trying to gauge when it might be available.

You'll be glad to hear Humax watching thread - already on the case and will look into whether dates can be added in a future update.

Thank you to Humax Towers for quickly responding to my messages and comments reported so far.

One item missing from the release note.

Unit will reboot every 5 days for 'clean up'

After 5 days operation, if it is in standby & not in recording, and time AM 3 ~ 5 unit will reboot

Is there a way to submit other suggestions?
