Hi, I have two Humax 9150s, one a couple of years older than the other. One of the remotes has nice "clicky" buttons, the buttons on the other are soft & rubbery with no click.

I'm not sure which is the newer.

Is there a way to change the settings of the rubbery buttons to clicky ones?

    TIA for any help.

    Hi Sadie.

I don't recall a clicky version for the 9150T. Has it got the same layout as the non-clicky version? Is that the only difference?

Ah! I see what you mean. This evening I'll dig out my older remotes.

Yes, that's the only difference. They are interchangeable as well, so I can't tell which one came first.

My remotes are all older than November 2009. They all have the same tactile characteristics. Buttons under the flap are soft, and the other buttons have a gentle click.

If you are looking at buying an 'original' remote control then I'll point out that when sellers on the internet describe something as 'original' they don't actually mean that it is the first version, but just that it is one of the versions that where sold with the unit.

Thanks Luke. It's really quite odd that they do feel very different. Oh, and thank you for the tip about buying a 'new' one. I won;t bother as I'm planning on moving overseas within the next 12 months so sadly I'll be leaving them behind.
