    Hi all,
I have a set top box model humax fvp-5000t.
It was working fine then stopped connecting to any on demand services.
The network was connecting fine and the internet was showing as all being connected properly, but nothing worked - Netflix catch up etc all failing.

I was told to do a factory reset which I have tried to do, but on completing the network section of the reset successfully I then get a blank page with a title "privacy policy, terms and conditions" but I cannot get past this blank page.
I presume I'm supposed to be able to agree to some terms or something but the page is simply black. So I cannot now use the box at all as the install is failing on this page.
    What can I do?

    Thank you

I have tried unplugging and leaving for a while then trying the whole procedure again and it still just shows the black screen where the policies should be!
What can i do to get past the agreeing page as the box is useless at the moment?

Ive tried emailing Humax support as well, but havent heard back from them after 14hrs or so.
    thanks again

Have you tried just pressing the OK button? When the page loads it defaults to the "Done" button, so pressing OK may just work if it's a display glitch.

It may be that the two problems are connected and that the T&C page comes from the internet.

    Suggestions:
    - Disconnect Lan and retry.
    - Try restarting Router and then PVR.

Thanks REPASSAC, but i have tried that already.
It also passes the internet and network page just before the policy page, so i hope that's working ok.
    Its a nightmare!

I've read that a lot of people don't get very far with emails to Humax- I've rang them a few times so you could try that and see if they're able to help, or they do have online chat help. I hope you get the problem sorted.

Try disconecting the hdmi lead and connect to a TV scart using the yellow CVBS video out socket and a scart adaptor.

I'm having a similar problem with WLAN
    'Network Settings', "Connection Status" shows:
    WLAN OK (yellow)
    Internet OK (yellow)

    bottom of screen
    STB -- (yellow) -- router -- (yellow) -- internet

    'General Settings',"Network Settings"
    Privacy Policy, terms and conditions
the top of the screen only shows
PRIVACY POLICY , TERMS & CONDITIONS
the rest of the screen is blank and after a while reverts to showing the previous menu.

The STB is connected to the TV via SCART and the router* (Xyxel AMG1302-T11B) is located 2m away in the next room (lathe and plaster wall).

*The Xyxel is being used as an AP for a technicolor THG3000

I think it might be useful if you could post the other information on the network status page please - IP addresses for your router, gateway, the DNS servers (primary and secondary) etc.

Do I infer a Vodafone THG300 router branded technicolor?
I suspect a network issue similar to one I have seen before.
