Why have you left out the IP address ? It's private to your network so no use to anyone else.

Why ? If you post the complete info someone may spot the issue. Mine is the same as my router other than a last number from the DHCP pool. It's very common 192.168.1.xx pattern If it doesn't match this pattern something is likely to be wrong and causing issues with on demand services. Who is your isp supplier ?

That makes no sense to me at all. Why so cryptic.

I use a virgin router but it's in modem mode, as WiFi coverage is crap.

Can you try temporarily running a cat5 cable direct to the Virgin router network switch ?

Everyone will know the numbers used anyway as all Virgin routers are the same. Depending on how many numbers are assigned to DHCP the last two will be one of these starting from from 2. Virgin use 192.162.0.xx

eg My Foxsat address ip is 192.168.1.6. It's on a netgear router. The virgin router acts only as a cable modem.

No one is asking for your router setup password. Without this the numbers are useless to anyone else.

You should reserve the box address to the box mac address to ensure it remains the same.

You can only ping an internal IP address from within your home network.

The box says configure ip DCHP which is in blue the only other option is manual which i presume you don't want which is black. I have just connected the lan cable it is connected but it still does not work on pause. I still have two virgin boxes on the would that have anything to do with it as they are both in use. The idea of buying one of these humax boxes is do away with virgin tv and save money.
