Hi Graham........949 recorded ok......enter 973... confirm two recordings.....cancel 973 recording and moved to 971.....can view and record. Thanks - One fine theory shot down in flames I take it that the first recording wasn't stopped when you recorded 971. Basically you were able to record a low band horizontal (949) at the same time as a low band vertical (971).
This combination is only possible if
1 The box has two working connections
and
2 The box is in dual cable mode.
The box is capable of feeding tuner 2 from tuner 1 in by switching to single cable mode. It does this on setup or on a Freesat retune if it only finds one infeed on tuner 1 in only.
I can't believe it was weather related. Very heavy rain/snow in the signal path can affect reception but it only lasts for a few minutes.
You must have two working cables to be able record a Low band horizontal
