Trev, it is so intermittent, that I don't think doing that would mean much because it can be fine for a couple of weeks before it happens and then once it has happened the event is over and the next day is usually OK again. So when would I have to do the reset?

Have you done it? It might be a (semi) permanent ix. It often is.

Thanks Trev, no I haven’t done so specifically for this issue, though I may have done so at some point since this started for some other reason, I forget.

I have nothing against trying it, but I cannot say if it has had any effect as it may not show up again for many weeks.

    Edit an hour later:
Just done a power off/on, so will just have to see what happens over the next few weeks.

A power cycle should be the first poty of call for any misbehaving electronic device. Can't do any harm (the purists will argue the point here) and often the reset fixes the problem.
