Based on very little information. it's looking like users with Com 7 can record both BBC3 HD and BBC4 HD. Those of us without COM 7 cannot. How odd

I'm using Crystal Palace so have access to COM 7 but I can't successfully record either BBC Three HD or BBC Four HD despite being able to view both with no problems.

I had my first failed recording on BBC Four HD tonight. I am running the Custom Firmware and could see the file size increasing as the recording progressed, ending with a 3.22GB file. Yet when I tried to play it on the HDR is said its a 0 (zero) minute file and cant play it.

I transferred it to my PC and it plays perfectly. I noticed that the side-car file .nts had a file size of 0 (zero).

That is the issue, but have no idea what can be done about it!

There seems to be a slight problem with my BBC THREE HD recording of Doctor Who: The Ultimate Guide. I went to check it in my recordings, and it was showing as 0min and when attempting to play it, I got the "Recording (less than 30 secs) may not be stored." message.

The strange thing is that the recording IS stored, it is shown in the webif media files as 3.34GiB. I am currently watching this recording via the web interface.

It looks as though the problem could be down to the NTS file, which was 0 bytes for this recording.

Edit: After removing the HMT, and NTS sidecar files, the recording is now fully playable on the HDR-FOX T2.

Same as me then Brian. Let's hope that there is a solution soon!

We still don't know who/what is to blame though. Broadcaster or Humax etal!

    That's a great spot.

I alerted Humax Towers as soon as posts started to appear about failures on BBC 4 HD, and have followed up with the latest info since.
