I lost my recordings this morning and was about to post here for help but saw a thread with the similar problem, so i followed the reboot solution an got my recordings back!

But now I've lost the Freeview play options that appear on the bottom of the HOME Page, and when I press the "ON DEMAND" button I simply get a list of recommended shows and no way to access the Freeview play channels like All 4, iPlayer etc.

    Should I do another reboot?

*EDIT* - I found the Freeview list via the "Players" option so it is just the quick access menu on the HOME page that is the outstanding issue now.

I have similar symptoms, the number of icons on the quick access bar has reduced to 6.
I am thinking that perhaps this quick access is the most recently used apps? Therefore unused apps drop off the list after a period of time.?

Weird....I just checked mine and the icons have all returned to the home page!

All I need now is to find a way for my recordings page to stay on Grid setting....

Do you use power saving mode?

No, I switched it off as it was causing the box to override my TV signal.

Mine has gone weird tonight, YouTube has vanished and a load more of the apps. I have pulled the plugged a few times and the same, so something weird is going on.

No, I switched it off as it was causing the box to override my TV signal.

A simple splitter connected to the aerial will give a seperate signal to the TV and box.

It will save you some money as the power consumption is a bit higher as the name suggests.

Well, that was the advice I got from these forums. But I'll take it into consideration. Thanks!
