Bet there was some colourful language over that one.

If you deleted the expletives it might have recorded.

    Bet that took some finding.

Sorry I find that explanation hard to swallow, mine only ever did it on the Friday night I joined this forum. I don't think I had any recordings with special characters or any overly long titles. I never deleted any recordings, I just left it powered down over night after factory resetting it, and have never had the problem again. I have also never used the set up by mobile function.

I guess it's not the programme title, it's the much longer programme details you get when pressing the info button. As these sort of odd characters will be rare, it's not surprising it's infrequent. Mine rebooted Tuesday recording Lewis and River, first time in many weeks. Unfortunately I have deleted the curtailed recordings so can't check the text.

Yep, there's an apostrophe in the Lewis info. I recorded it on my Panasonic.

Very fitting that Psychedelic Britannia was the programme that enlightened the searchers after truth.

Thanks James, always nice to get an explanation.

I had similar problems with x2 1100S, both were returned. Going to Standby intermittently. Humax service were of not much help,(one of their most ludicrous suggestions was that it was going to standby 'to stop the hard drive overheating') NONSENSE!! Note that the latest update from Freesat is dated Nov15th and does not give me any confidence that the issue is fixed for once and for all. As previous people have said I didn't swallow the 'programme name characters' scenario either.

Its a pity as otherwise the 1100S was OK, the WiFi feature was useful. I will carry on with my old FoxsatHDR (£5 from a charity shop!!) which works fine.!!
