My box will occasionally power up when using a different remote control, and when powered up this way, will not power down after a scheduled recording has finished. This is exactly what I would expect to happen though.

I have never had a problem with the box returning to standby after making a scheduled recording from standby.

If the other boxes boot like the HDR FOX T2 does by pressing zero, does this avoid the unwanted boot on the FVP-4000T. Or does the off toggle on another box cause one to go off and the FVP-4000T to turn on ?

None of my remotes turn the FVP off again, they only turn it on.

If you turn on the other kit using 0 or 00 does it resolve the issue ? Assuming they boot with zero(s).

Zero on HDR T2, 1800T, 2000T whilst booting those units does not appear to boot the FVP 4000T - the power button does.

    Work around then.

Unfortunately not for the unit I use the most in the Lounge as freetime HDR's do not boot with a zero, or at least mine do not.

For others who have same issue...

Please send a message to Humax Support who have not heard of this before, and cannot replicate apparently?

I also see that when turning off the Fox T2 that sometimes turns on the FVP 4000T

Barry my HDR1000s in standby overnight. This morning pressed zero (3 times for luck), box booted up OK.
