Has everyone noticed the green button feature that BBC are trialing.
When watching a live program allows you to go back to the start by activating the program from the start in iplayer. Seems to work on both smart TVs and the Humax 4000. Have only got it to work on BBC2 so far.

Yes I noticed this a few days ago and was quite impressed. If you have a timer event starting though it stops the catch-up and reverts to live broadcast. At least it did for me when I tried it. It will be good when it's working properly, though.
