This forum now shows a reference to the HDR 1100S. Clearly I've been asleep when that was announced, what is it?

Presumably the new model. There were comments a few weeks ago about John Lewis running down stock of the current box. Barry confirmed then that a new model was on the way.

Let's hope this new model has display icons of a size so people who don't have the eyesight of a falcon can still read, or alternatively no icons at all.

No front display on new model.
Try google on HDR 1100S, you might be surprised at some of the results

Looks very nice.
But HumaxDirect have said Yes to Catchup in the Description tab, and No to both Catchup and Showcase in the Tech Specs tab.
How long does it take to proofread the info on a new product!

What is "Maximum Simultaneous Recording Limits"?

Humaxx direct lists bot the HDR-1100S 500GB and 1TB as "No". It lists the 2TB as having a "Maximum Simultaneous Recording Limits" of 1200.Humax themselves don't seem to be quite sure what it means. On the 1010S 1TB it's set to 600 hours SD - same as "Recording Time".

Have What Hi*Fi got the details wrong? They refer to this new unit has having Curzon TV and Netfilix but not YouTube?
