HDR-1100S sometimes reboots or shows snowy screen

Re software versions, I think my HDR-1100S is quite old - it has the "freetime" logo on the lid and I think later ones just have "freesat". I installed the latest software from the current Humax website and it seems fine.

Hi Justintime,

Why not try it & see what happens? That's what I do (!) & I just mentioned what I seem to remember. You won't lose recordings, only schedule data. The Humax will soon inform you if it won't accept same firmware number(as with most pvrs with firmware). Easy solution, for my own use, I keep all previous versions of Humax firmware over the years & install previous, then install current ONLY if pvr flags up any message not accepting same version again. Always works. All I have done is mentioned what I have come across when installing firmware. Any other users out there that can add to this? John L
