    Hello,

    I'm new to FreeSat.

Just replaced an old Sky box with this HD unit.

    So far I'm very pleased.

    Re: Humax HDR-1100s and
Logitech Harmony 350 Universal Remote Control

    and LG TV

I'm considering the purchase of this Remote Control and wondered if anyone had any experience of using it with a Humax box

I can see how most of the keys would map from the Humax remote to the Harmony Remote but I can't work out which key on the Harmony Remote would become the
RECORDINGS key - could it be the DVR key?

What function would the LIVE key on the harmony become?

    I assume the following mappings!!!

    Harmony Humax
    ------- -----
    MENU maps to Home key
    INFO maps to i key
    GUIDE maps to TV GUIDE
    EXIT maps to EXIT key
BACK maps to BENT ARROW key

I assume the INPUT key on the Harmony would scroll the TV thought the various video inputs (HDMI1, HDMI2 etc.).

What key would the SUB-TITLES key map to?

    Thank for any feedback

    Mabel

I see that this question has had no responses, which is a shame because I now find myself in a similar situation. In my case I’m thinking of getting a Harmony 650. If anyone has this unit, could you let me know how many levels of macro it will support?

For example I’d like to reduce Home->On Demand->iPlayer to one button-press and Home->Humax->Media share to another in order to simplify access to each. Is this easily doable?

I've just enrolled on a 3 year open university course in how to programme the Harmony to control all your a.v. devices.

I just signed up for the course and bought the remote. I can already turn on the TV so I might get away with an evening course. . .

I did actually return one. We currently have six separate remotes which TBH I prefer and it's all the wife can manage. I was only able to programme a couple of devices before SWMBO stepped in and flatly refused to entertain it. She said using devices shouldn't be a subject on Mastermind and that was the end of that.

To be perfectly honest though I did think she had a point.

So far I've put managed to put iPlayer, Netflix, Plex and Chromecast on to dedicated buttons. And I've even had a cautious thumbs-up from Management!

It's been an afternoon's work though.
