I have done quite a bit of searching for the solution to this, so please excuse me if I have missed the answer!

I have just bought a second hand hdr-fox t2, which is replacing my old trusty pvr-9150t.

When I set it up, it auto tuned and gave me a selection of channels but no HD, when I looked at the tuning channels , it was selecting a different transmitter than the 9150t had done, along with a tv upstairs that id also manually retuned.

I tried a factory reset and cancelled the auto installing, saving no channels, then adding them manually, but it just says no channels found for all the ones in my area. I got my info for manual tuning off the official freeview site.

When it auto tunes, and doesn't select the winter hill transmitter, it means I can't use the hd channels, as they just break up.

I plugged the 9150t back in and it's up and running straight away with the winter hill channels.

    Any suggestions greatfully received.

    Thanks in advance

    Clarkee.

Does this help Link to manual tuning FAQ? Note that where it says to check a tick box "I am in the aerial trade" the relevant tick box is now labelled "Detail view".

Moderators; please will you update my original post. done

I have all the details from that post and several similar ones.

It's the box that says no chanels found when I enter the details manually.

    Thanks for your quick response.

Odd. What transmitter are you tuning to?

On the manual tune screen in addition to the channel number either DVB-T2 or DVB-T needs to be selected. Select DVB-T2 for the HD channel and DVB-T for the others. Did you do that?

I'm trying to tune to winter hill.
My 9150t and a sharp tv with built in freeview are both tuned manually to it, so I can't see why the hdr-fox won't!

    I have tried DVb-t and DVb-t2.

At the moment, I'd just rather tune it to winter hill and sort the hd channels out after.

    Thanks.

    Andrew.

Spoke to humax technical help this morning, and their conclusion was that the unit has a faulty tuning board.

I'll have to try and get my money back though eBay & PayPal!
