Restarting the service "Computer Browser" has not made any difference. Humax box can still see the servers, but thinks there's nothing on them.

Re: UPnP:
Found the bit where that's an option: it is now and has always been set as follows:
"UPnP Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) enables a wide range of devices and applications like games and messaging to connect to each other and work together.UPnP: ON
Extended UPnP security: ON
We recommend you keep 'Extended UPnP Security' turned on to make sure your home network is secure.So... I don't think that's the issue?

I'll give it a go and report back.

IT WORKED!
I mean, it's working now. I'll give it a couple of days to bed in and see if it keeps working, but that seems to have at least temporarily got it back.
Which then leads on to the question: what IS "Extended uPnP Security", why would I need it, and what are the risks of turning it off?

Which then leads on to the question: what IS "Extended uPnP Security", why would I need it, and what are the risks of turning it off?A quick google suggests it is to do with firewalling ports opened by uPnP. There are several reports of people having various issues that are resolved by turning it off.
