I am trying to map a drive to my humax foxsat.
I am using win10 and v4.1.3 of the humax firmware.
I can access the humax firmware interface from a browser, also if I create a shortcut I can see the files in a browser.
I can also send commands using telnet.

I have tried the following :-

Set firmware password and also tried with it removed.

Ensured network discovery and SMB is enabled on the pc.

Manually changed the humax IP address from 192.168.1.230 to 192.168.1.151 as I read 230 is used for routers.

I tried to download samba and opkg-tools but didn't load.

I've also tried on a vista pc with the same results.

I've now run out of ideas and would appreciate a fix.

    SOLVED

    There were two problems.
I had changed the network address on the humax manually.
This resulted in preventing the downloading of packages in the firmware package.

The main problem was the absence of Samba.

Once this was installed I could then map the humax disc.

So Microsoft not to blame this time
