that's what I do.
Turn the TV on then that's when I have to turn off & on again the Humax, before the slow start-up procedure. It's OK then until next time I want to turn it all on.

Hope you can decipher that?

Your reply is a little ambiguous, you omit when you brought the Humax out of standby and also if the off and on is a standby off and on or a power off and on. The comment on the slow start implies the latter to me.

sorry, I'm getting brain fog
I'll TRY AGAIN....
I've been using it in stand-by and when I TURNED THE tv on the Freesat sign used to show strait way for me to open it. great!!
Then suddenly that didn't happen.....
Turn TV on, no Freesat sign > turn off then on again, then Freesat signs and slowly came alive.
Hope that makes sense?| Thu 24 Jun 2021 13:20:28 #14 | -
Your first sentence implies that either the Humax was on before you used to turn the TV on OR the TV is displaying a Freesat indication (perhaps the TV has a name assigned to the HDMI port).
The second sentence does not clarify if "turn off then on again" is a power or standby cycle NOR when you first turned on the Humax.
