Thanks Barry,
Just ordered one with delivery via daughter.| Thu 21 Jun 2018 8:16:02 #12 | -
Just used the offer to get one and was easy to set up.
I'll be interested in roughly how much bandwidth this will use as I intend to have it connected to a data sim Mifi device with a low monthly allowance. It'll be in a place where there should be little or no motion detection most days.Their FAQ has confused me... Does this device use c. 3GB or 95% of 3GB? The former I assume?
How much internet bandwidth does it use?
Our system only records on motion, so on average it uses 95% less bandwidth than continuous 24/7 recording cameras, which work out to be on average around 3GB of data per month. Most broadband provider caps start at 10GB per month

They're saying that on average these types of devices use 3GB per month bandwidth. The Humax uses only 150MB.

Of course if you put it an area of constant through traffic then it will generate a lot more than that.
It has a clever GPS option that turns off the camera if the phone it is registered to is in proximity to the camera

I didn't know that - do they suggest what "proximity" might mean? R-

I didn't know that - do they suggest what "proximity" might mean? R-Guessing it's the same as Android trusted locations (currently broken by a Google home update). I guess IOS is similar.

Based on that it's about 50-100M from your home location. I don't get the camera till tomorrow, so need to have a play
You would need to have gps enabled.
