The camera will only upload data if triggered by it's motion detectors and enabled by the phone used is not close.

So if no one is in the house and the zone it covers is not compramised there should be minimal data upload.

However reading reviews it does say the camera generates a event when switching to night vision mode. Mine is connected via a switched mains extension. If someone is in the house it is turned off. Just like a burglar alarm if the house is left empty all you have to do is flick the on switch.

    Mine arrived this afternoon.
Setup was easy and it connected simply to my wifi.
Nice neat design. Good pictures - Not interested in sound which I have not tested.

Notice hat it is marked for indoor use. However I may try it outside on covered patio area which does not get wet.

Noticed that the price is now £99.

Set my Human Eye app in the 4000T up today. It looks a bit clumsy but it works. Very well indeed I might add with the Harmony remote.

Did Human ever do an outdoor version does anyone recall? Nothing on Humaxdigital at present. Just wondered.

I am using mine on a covered patio in a dry place - works well at night critter watching (bats trigger it a lot at does lightning).

Ha-ha, I know. I'd forgotten (from my old wired CCTV system days) just how sensitive these things can be to leaves, House Martins and the door curtain blind. R-

I bought one a couple of days ago.
I set it up yesterday morning and it was working fine for an hour or so.
Then the app crashed and the camera stopped working. I've tried severa times to get back online but no joy.
I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I've reset the camera. I've rebooted the router.
currently the camera is stuck on a flashing blue light and when i try to setup the camera in the app, I get the message "Disconnected from Evo camera, please try again."
I've googled but nothing helpful has come up.

Any ideas folks? Tech support closed until Tuesday i believe.

    thanks,
    Steve

Hi Stevieboy, I also have one of these cameras, installed successfully and working for the last few weeks.
There is one peculiarity that I cannot explain. Every afternoon it loses contact with the server for about 30 minutes then reconnects itself. During this loss of contact the light flashes red rapidly.
I wonder if your camera is doing the same and you are trying to make it connect during the afternoon ?
This seems to occur around 3PM, but varies daily.
    Very strange.
    Martin.
