    Just checked...

Mine appeared to update in a split second, no longer shows update and works OK?

Just powered it off and will check again in a few minutes..

Edit: Checked again a few minutes later (23:58) and update no longer showing so can only assume the app updated in that split second.

My H3 had run out of space. Waiting would have done nothing.

    Thanks for checking.

    Hi all.

My H3 appears to have lost all its apps other than Netflix. Any ideas how to get them back?

    Welcome to our Forum

Just booted mine and all is OK.

    Try pressing the home button.

What software version do you have?

Hi Barry and thanks for your reply.

Thankfully, I seem to have sorted it and have learnt something as a result.

I was having problems yesterday and tried a factory reset but it turned out to be an issue with our router not being connected to the Internet. Sorting that out and trying another reset of the H3 this evening brought back the apps.

It would therefore appear that all apps other than Netflix are downloaded and installed as part of the first boot after a reset. Presumably, if it can't reach the server then it just skips this part of the process.

Further testing by resetting with and without Internet access seems to confirm this so hopefully this will be useful to anyone else with the same issue in the future.

Thank you for updating us, that might be useful info for other users in future.

    Edit:

Latest software version for this unit btw is 1.24.00

Software has just updated to version 1.26.00.
Apart from a new appstore for games I can see no changes of importance.
Certainly no updated Android version or access to Google Play!

Is there any chance this device will get an update in the future that would allow catchup services like iPlayer or ITV Hub etc?

I don't have a H3 but assuming it's a android device Google sideloading the app you want like BBC Iplayer.

It might have Android underneath but it's an all Humax interface with only their own Apps, and there aren't many.

I was asking if this is a device that Humax is still developing and improving and releasing new software? Or is it basically a dead product now, because it's a bit crap to be honest in it's current state. It can't be that hard to add iPlayer and other Apps, unless the CPU or RAM is too slow/small
