After a lot of research, I found the D3&4 mux is owned by itv & BT, and to be honest, I put the fault at their door, they must have changed something. My aura worked for a week, and then I lost all the channels, or they stuttered, so I don't think it's Humax's fault like you say.

Film4 freezing on adverts and have to keep forwarding until you find the rest of the film but it buffers the ads.

I posted this a couple of days ago on the other site...........

The fact it was only affecting ad's on More4 suggests an outside source rather than the Aura being the cause but there is no excuse for the Aura being so :poop: at coping with whatever is occurring when all other freeview devices are fine.

If it is not the fault of Humax then why are other TVs and PVRs not affected? Why do these things always affect the Humax Aura?

l was thinking the same as my Manhattan is still working on those channels.
I think Humax must have a slightly different code for the D3&4 mux.

On the ads only? That is interesting as Youview boxes were having a problem with ads on those channels a little time back leading the boxes to spontaneously rebooting. Now wondering if in fixing that problem they have now broken it for the Aura? In the meantime I will continue to keep those channels hidden and not used on my Youview box and instead watch/record them on my trusty old Digitalstream PVR.

It wasn't ads only for me last night. Switched to a channel and it froze no matter what was playing. Recordings from the channels - same. As recordings will play using VLC and there appears to be no problems on any other device I'd speculate that the Aura's Freeview Live TV app is at fault. It was changed last year as a result of similar problems with some other channels. A bodged fix?

I said Humax was not the cause of the problem but it is their fault the Aura is not able to cope with that problem when all other freview equipment seems to be unaffected and I think that was what Bruce meant also.

Yes that's what I meant, thank you.

It was just the More4 ads that were affected when I first noticed the issue but that was not the case on all the other affected channels also just like the similar COM5 problems we had before the time of day seems to play a factor, a channel may again seem fine in the morning and later in the day be unwatchable. I only tend to watch More4 late morning/early afternoon rather than in the evening when EEPhil had more severe problems on More4.
