Have you checked that the box autotuned to the correct transmitter, not a more distant one?

    Hi A1944,
    how do I do that?
    regards Chris

You need to select BBC1 SD (0001), if that is one of the weak channels, then go to Settings, Channel Settings, Signal Test.

Just to the right of "Tuner 1" should be the channel number (CHxx). For Rowridge that should be 24. If it is something else, report back here and we can try to work out which transmitter it is trying to use.

Also, you can report back the two readings it is giving for Strength and Quality (even if it is 24).

Examples of other channels you could check if BBC1 SD is OK are:

    ITV 0003 should be CH27
    Drama 0020 should be CH25
    Dave 0012 should be CH22
    Yesterday 0019 should be CH28
    BBC 1 HD 0101 should be CH21

BBC News HD 0107 should be CH55
CBBC HD 0204 should be CH56

Reception of the last two is very much dependent upon a suitable aerial being in use since the recent retune which brought Ch55 and 56 into use and which are outside the range of many existing aerials.

Bear in mind, this is all based upon the assumption that you should be using the Rowridge transmitter on the Isle of Wight. If you are in a different part of the country, then could you clarify please.

I note from your profile that you are in Eastleigh, so the Rowridge information should be valid.
