There was a Freeview retune event on Wednesday, this changed the numbers of the HD channels. Your box will have carried out an auto-retune, causing your scheduled timers to be cleared.

The problem is that following Wednesday's re-tune (which I assume was planned work), it left me with a useless device which was emptied of both it's service list and recording schedule. With this incident and previous recent problems, I am begining to lack confidence in the device.

Humax have designed the box to this, however is has got worse with newer firmware releases because from 1.02.27 onwards the box will automatically re-tune after the 'Now / Later' message is displayed if you don't select LATER within 3Mins. All recording schedules and Favourite lists will be cleared. So an un-attended unit (when switch out of standby) will auto-retune, the ony way of stopping this happening is to install 1.02.20 or install Custom Firmware

You can use the modified firmware to stop auto re-tune events and even software OTA upgrades. Also with this firmware you can backup and restore your scheduled records. I have started using it and there are many other benifits too.

I went away for a couple of days leaving mi HDR Fox T2 in standby, loaded up with a list of programmes to record. When I got home, and came to view the recorded programmes, I was greeted with the message "no channels found press ok to tune?" With no choice I pressed OK.
I have had this twice now since the September channel change. It is really annoying that the recording shedule is lost when you retune.
In addition after I retuned the HD services which use to be on 50, 51, 52, and 53 now appear on 101, 102, 103 and 104
Anyone have any thoughts . . .
SteveThat's exactly what I get. Just checked my channels for 50,51 etc. They are now on, 1020, 1021 and 1022 all so annoying

They should be on 101, 102, 103, & 104. It sounds like you are receiving from more than one transmitter, and therefore will need to perform a manual retune.

To get the HD channels on 1020, 1021, 1022 your box must have over 120 duplicated channels due to being tuned to more than one transmitter. Being tuned to more than one transmatter will cause serial links and accurate recording to fail some of the time.
See the following link for how to retune.
