    One fix that has helped several people is to change the Network settings to use a fixed IP address and set the DNS address to be either your ISP's DNS server or a third party DNS server.

    Worth mentioning that this only works with a wired connection. There is no option to set the wifi connection in this way. To help forum members it would be useful to post a picture of your network status screen and also tell us what type of router you have.

    Thanks Graham/Martin. I do tend to fix IP/DNS and use google/quad9 etc whichever takes my whim. I'll check what currently I'm using.
    However, usually (not always admittedly) my network is fine and anyway - if it was a blip, why doesn't say, the on demand on the guide (ie when you scroll back in time) not recover the information once any network glitch is resolved? Hard power off is the only resolution I've found.
    (I may not be explaining clearly - I'll get some pics ... )
