Lost recordings and can't record

    Thank you for the info.
    We did have the On Demand etc. issue but that has gone away.
    I will try your suggestion and see how we go. It has only happened twice so far as I said originally. The box is out of warranty now in any case.

    I have also seen this on my unit - however each time it has been when I have gone straight to recordings.

    It is likely that when the picture and sound is displayed, the unit has not completed all boot tasks. The new messages that are displayed on showcase and on-demand, if you go into these immediately, imply this. I think like those, the recording list may still be being built.

    Thanks REPASSAC, I shall be sure to note this when next it happens, although I believe the box had been on for some period before we attempted to view our recordings on both occasions. I'm going to hold off on the factory default for a while and note exactly when it happens next time; if it does!
