As much as I'm sure the customised software is good, I paid for a premium product in the expectation that it functions within spec. So far, I've had signal break-up not experienced with my previous PVR and lost timers. Hardly a premium quality product. Installing customised software comes with risks, e.g. invalidating the warranty.

I thought that you said you had a HDR-FOX T2 ? I would class this as a bargain basement priced product, certainly not a premium priced product.
Perhaps you should return it for a refund as you are clearly not happy with it, and perhaps you should pass your comments onto Humax.
You have still not come up with any PVR's that don't lose their schedules when performing a retune.

My fathers Philips does when it does a partial scan to get new channels. When you do a full scan they look like they have gone but everything runs very slow for a while and then some time later all the schedule recordings are back. I can only assume it is re-building the schedule in the background after a full scan. Nice if the stock firmware did something like this

Oh I almost forgot I bought a Philips rather than Humax because it was quite a bit cheaper, had good cvustomer reviews and my Father would not link it to his home network as he never uses online services like iplayer.
