Hi all, came across this thread when searching online.
I'm having the exact same issue as the original poster.
My 1000s is new from HughesTV on 2nd Feb 15. Has been fine until last night when I was going through menus (cannot remember what button i was pressing at the time?). Then the remote kept on sending a signal forcing the small on screen TV Guide to keep on looping on/off. Only thing i could do to stop it was pull the batteries out.
Not sure if this is of any relevance, but the red STB light, under the button on top left of remote was fixed on? Don't think it does this under normal operation?? Could be wrong.
Software is up to date as of feb 3rd 2015 when I went through set up screens.
I tried a factory reset as suggested above using the android app as a remote, but I got stuck on the postcode entry. Luckily, I haven't sold my Foxsat HDR yet so used my old remote to enter it. This factory reset did not solve the issue and I had the exact same problem when I put the batteries back in the remote.
Very strange, as it has been completely faultless up until last night.
Any further ideas please folks? cheers!
