The manual contains a list of TV's the remote can control and associated codes.
There was a software update the other day for the fvp4000t. Assuming there aren't any recordings on it, I'd advise a factory default reset after checking it has the latest software dated 30th Nov 2016| Sat 14 Jan 2017 11:50:34 #2 | -
Thanks I've found them now. I couldn't have looked hard enough at the back of the book. Tell me please, how can you tell if youve input the correct code?

I would consider buying a low end Logitech Harmony remote control.

The power button on the left that is next to AV or the one on the right, It doesn't really say in the manual

Sorry don't have the remote, but it's the same button you use to turn the 4000T on and off. Assuming it's the same as the other Humax remotes that can control other kit, in pvr mode it controls the box, in TV mode it controls the TV.
If you use a harmony remote one button turns on the TV and the box and both off again.

There are only two buttons used to control the TV, they are the Black Power button, and AV button, both on the top row. Thanks for the update brian and my apologies to the OP pwb232, the manual refers to a universal remote and being able to control 2 buttons isn't what most people would imagine a universal remote to be. The manual makes no mention of this limitation.
If the TV remote can't be programed then as others have suggested a 3rd party universal would make sense. I imagine most on this forum use such a remote.| Sun 15 Jan 2017 9:34:06 #8 |
