My 9300T was connected to the CRT by Scart and has worked happily for 3 years providing Freeview and recording progs.
I now want to connect it to a brand new Panasonic TXL32C4B LCD TV using the HDMI cable that came with the Humax 3 years ago. Although the Panasonic comes with an integral digital decoder, I want to use the recording facilities on the Humax that I used with the CRT.
I believe that I've followed all the instructions for setting up the TV for a PVR, made the connections to the Humax (RF in, RF out to TV and HDMI) then nothing. The TV seems to be ready to receive input from the Humax but the Humax isn't sending anything.
Any suggestions. Should I set something up on the Humax? Help please.

Is the TV switched to the HDMI input the 9300T is connected to?

Thanks for your response.
Yes, the Panasonic is set up to recognise PVR on the HDMI option in AV.| Thu 10 May 2012 12:46:37 #3 | -
I am not sure that answers the question I asked. What happens if you cycle manually through all the available input sources?

Thanks for your response.
Yes, the Panasonic is set up to recognise PVR on the HDMI option in AV.That requires the box to have cec auto hdmi selection. It doesn't, you have to manually select it unless you use AV1 which has a non standard auto select capability.
I would stick to RGB scart anyway, the scaler in the 9300 isn't very good. The TV will give you a better picture if you use it's built in scaler.

Thanks for your advice and I'm going to try setting up again this evening. Would it be OK I come back to you tomorrow (Friday) if I have any further questions?

Another consideration is that the Humax volume control only works over the SCART connection.
