My first box from John Lewis was duff.

Given that it was my very first freesat box, and I wasn't certain that I had just installed the satellite dish correctly, I persevered with trying to get a signal to the box for ages.

In the end, took it to my wife's cousin's house, swapped out his sky box and "no signal".

JL replaced, and the relief when I got a signal straight out of the box was immense!

While I use and promote JL we once purchased a coffee machine which when we got it home was missing the accessories. It had obviously been purchased, used once and returned and those who did so did not replace all the parts. It happens...
