OH NO! Looks like the won't come out of standbye problem has come back on my box.

Yesterday the light went blue and seemed to be going ok but it just stayed blue and the machine appeared to lock, no picture, no sound and unresponsive to any button presses, both on the remote and the box itself.

You've got to hand it to Humax their software updates are always top notch - down to extensive testing - not.

The one thing I've not done is a factory rest since upgrading the software, I shall try that.

I am really reluctant to send it back because we have some many unwatched recordings on it, but having had the unit since October last year and having problems, even after 2 updates I am now wondering if keeping it is the right thing. We never had this on our 9200t. Thing is, what would we swap to??

Humax have agreed that my unit must be faulty and to complete a warranty form. But if this has been caused by the software update what guarantee do I have that a replacement box will work? and I won't be getting a new box, but instead a reconditioned unit. Is that the norm?

    1. Have you tried a factory reset?
    2. I think we would have more users reporting if it was caused by the software update.
    3. Replacing with a recon unit is the norm from Humax - Where did you buy it?

I will try a factory reset. I'm not blaming the update, more that I had the occasional lockup like this on the first update, still had the lockups before the first, kept the faith waiting for the second update and they are still happening.

I was so happy with my 9200/9300 I don't want to give up, but how much longer does one keep waiting/hoping?

Don't want to return it because i have too much unwatched recorded programs and I don't want to lose them because there are these issues (hardly my fault, eah?)

As well as everything else mentioned in previous posts, I use a usb drive a lot, transfer programmes from pc to usb, then play them on the FVP. Before the device updated today, whenever I added new items to the usb, they appeared on the FVP in name alphabetical order. Since the update, they now appear in the order in which they were put on the usb device, really annoying when I have several episodes of the same series on the same usb device. I can't find any way to sort these by name, any ideas?

Bought from John Lewis. I may try them to see whether I can return the box for a replacement seeing as I purchased less than 6 months ago.
