We have had our Humax HDR Fox T2 for a few weeks now and have had to perform the manual update several times, with the help of this excellent forum.
However, the last two times we have switched the box and TV on, the Humax springs into life but the TV pictures stays blank (or rather, green). Only switching both on and off several times does this remedy the problem.
Does anyone know what this is please?
This sounds like an HDMI "handshake" issue which seems to affect some TV's more than others. It often seems worse if the Humax is recording in standby at the time.
You could try using a different HDMI input on your TV, or select another HDMI input with your TV remote, then re-select the HDMI input that the Humax is connected to, this has been reported to help some owners.

First thing to check is whether you are on the latest software version 1.02.20; this contained significant improvements in this area.

We've got a similar problem with our Philips TV - except that the screen is blue rather than green!
The problem only arises when the TV is set to receive from the appropriate HDMI input, and when someone then accidentially presses Prog up/down or a number button when the remote is set to talk to the TV rather than the T2. This confuses the hell out of the TV which switches input channels - so that it's no longer receiving the T2's output - and often can't be recovered without switching the TV right off (not just to standly) and starting again.
It also confuses the hell out of my wife - who blames the T2 before it never happened before we had it!

When you reselect the right hdmi input on the TV try cycling through the Humax V-Format options. This causes the hdmi connection to renegotiate HDCP handshaking.
