Hi guys. The app (Android version) is up to date and yes it's the same device (tablet) being used on both boxes, with both boxes connected wirelessly. The iplayer software is up to date but then it's behaving the same with all the on demand players on this one box.

Try swapping the two boxes around, does the issue stay with the box or remain at the original location.

Before I read your post Graham I attempted connection to the box with the app on a different tablet and hey presto it worked. Now working ok with my tablet albeit a little slower to pick up on the commands BUT it now does work. Gets stranger by the minute but so far this evening so good. A big thanks to everyone who took an interest and chipped in with suggestions etc. It is very much appreciated.
