After six months of problems, my Aura did the honourable thing and just passed away peacefully. Not sure what my guarantee is, but not sure I want another.Registered units normally get two years. You must have one of the first units released.
The latest software is much superior.

If I could get it to turn on, I'd try updating it.

Will be getting a replacement aura in a few days. I doubt it will have latest software, so if I do a Freeview update from the menu, does that mean I am up to date with the latest aura software or is that something different?

You should get the latest public release shortly after setting it up.
And this one after this forum volunteer beta testers have had chance to test it for bugs.

Software updates will appear in the notifications option in the home screem ( the house symbol on the remote).
If you read the public beta threads by date you will find the introduced enhancements in each release.

I swapped my dead Aura for a new one. It installed all the updates and it's better. However, BBC iPlayer stopped twice during a 30 minutes programme and I can't cast from my phone to it to watch Netflix. There appears to be no built in chrome cast for my phone to find.
