The problem Humax need to fix is this one which is registered in the Crash Reports and the timestamp coincides with the playback quit and spinning circle (I believe the spinning circle is the App restarting post-crash):

Did any of you report this to humax, as they once again have said this issue isn't known to them.

As a software developer I'd happily report bugs if I thought they would be listened to.. bellla are you somehow in contact with them?

Not sure who has been giving you duff information but the Aura has had several updates over the last few years, there was one last October updating the Freeview app to 1.00_65_241003. The Android version is dated now but we live in hope that the fabled update Barry mentioned will not just be a damp squib and stem the flow of users deserting the Aura in favour of the Manhattan T4-R.| Tue 11 Mar 2025 12:41:10 #16 | -
Not really duff information, the forums were full of "Humax is dead" posts a couple of years back - lots of long-standing bugs and they had gone very quiet. People recommending the older models as more reliable than the newer Android-based ones.
I'm glad to hear things have come back to life because at its heart it's a great piece of kit.

https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/the-upcoming-system-updateI haven't contacted the seniors since, haven't seen the point yet, but will at some point & will of course report here when there is something applicable to relay.
