Hi, I feel that exporting the recordings is important and didn't like the idea of ending up with something not as good as the 2000t.
    kind regards

Would it be worth returning in exchange for the 2000t in your opinion?

If you will only use it a small amount then get an HDR-2000T and use the difference in cost to get a separate box to watch catch up channels such as the Now TV box Link to Now TV box.

    Hello Martin,
Does the NowTV box mean paying a monthly subscription to get access to the on demand catch up players? Does it need an aerial or satellite or is it purely network based?

    Thanks

It is network based. They want to sell you a subscription but if you read the information on the site it appears to be possible to use the catch up players without a subscription. NB I haven't got one so can't be certain about anything. Maybe somebody else here knows more?
