    Thanks. The reboot to the router did the job. Sadly I renamed some of my files on the ext hard drive, and now the humax cannot play them. I did not alter the file type, but I've obviously messed something up….Groan!…another Sunday afternoon spent messing around!

    Possibly you need to ask the DLNA server software to rescan the disk?
