Recording twice

    Why are the recordings being recorded twice, on the same channel, and at the same time?

    Is this happening occasionally or with all recordings? I see it happen maybe once a month and I don't know the reason but I would sooner it recorded twice than not at all.

    Another one of the many mysteries of the Auras, mine has done this on occasion, not for a long time though.
    At the moment mine is every other day or so it decides it needs to reboot the Humax OS several times a day,
    and if it has noticed that you're not too bothered by that behaviour it will go for a full shut down and restart.

    How often are you getting duplicated recordings?

    Yesterday the 12th April it recorded 2 programs twice.
    1 program it says 21.00 to 23.00 and the second recording of the same program it says 21.05 to 23.00?
    This happens every few days

    Have you tried all the usual, such as a full power cycle, long press on the power button select OK on screen and wait till the LED goes out, unplug, wait for a few minutes, plug in and start up.
    If that hasn't improved things try a Freeview Reset, and if that doesn't improve things try a Factory Reset.

    If that doesn't improve things go on holiday.

    I know a factory reset will loose all recordings and future recordings but what will the full power cycle do.

    A factory Reset will not delete your recordings.
    Press the Freeview button click on Settings> Freeview Play Preferences scroll to the bottom of the list
    to Freeview Reset and read what it says.

    You can also back up your preferences prior which includes your recording schedule.
    And then import them after you have done the Factory Reset.

    A full power cycle will refresh the Aura and do a full reboot of the Android and Humax operating systems which may just clear the error that is causing the duplicate recordings.

    That confirms my findings. I've only had it happen if I've used the app, forgotten I've set a recording, and the app hasn't fully connected. Then it seems to be possible to set an already set timer (that isn't currently showing in the app) which the Aura accepts - but doesn't show the duplication. Hence two copies. Confused? I am, and the Aura definitely is!
