   If you have copied/moved recordings to USB HDD beware.

   The recordings list option 'programmes' lists all timers recorded both internal and USB HDD, indeed if you have copied off a single timer you will note the programme is now listed as 2 episodes, and no indication of where stored.

   It is very easy to delete a programme in error thinking it is on the internal HDD when in fact it is has been archived off.

   Suggestion:

   If deleting programmes I would use the 'storage' option in the left pane and select either internal HDD or USB, you can be certain then that you are deleting the correct timer.

   Martin appears to be same as HDR T2, SD decrypted on copy, HD not.

   Does it have an FTP server? I am wondering if there is any feature lacking on the FVP-4000T that is available on the HDR-2000T.

   Yes it does, can be enabled/disabled in the network menu.

   It sounds like it can do everything the HDR-2000T can, but with an extra tuner and a wider range of catch up services. I have a couple more questions. Does the DLNA server serve high def. recordings, or is it standard def. only? Can recordings from other sources be played back from USB and if so, which formats are compatible.

   I wonder if YouView will up their game in response?

   DLNA server only SD recordings.

   Not used the USB much, only to test archive off, however it does playback all formats from my NAS that the 2000T does.

   When I have a mo will copy of NAS to USB HDD and check again.

   Barry - can the DLNA server stream the tuner outputs live and/or recordings in chasing playback ?

    Using the Humax live tv app (android and ios) you can steam live TV to your tablet or phone.

    Using the Humax Media app you can play SD recordings on tablet or phone.

    You can also send SD recordings to a compatible device on your network eg I can use the app to send a SD recording to Philips TV
    (have not experimented with this much)
